Text Box: Fuel Surcharge
The price of fuel continues to rise on a regular basis. This is bought about by the rising cost of oil on the world markets and UK government policy raising fuel duty. As a consequence we are required to implement a fuel surcharge.

The formula used for the fuel surcharge is based on the benchmark for fuel at 90.2p per litre (exclusive of VAT) and the latest bulk price paid by applying 0.44% per penny per litre.

We assess this each week setting the fuel surcharge every Monday.

Fuel surcharge from 16th January 2012 is 10.5%.

This is a flexible and transparent surcharge that will rise and fall according to the price of fuel.

The current rate for that week will be applied to all work on the date of the job.

We always appreciate for the work given to us and your understanding of these events.

Political activity.
Through our trade association, the Road Haulage Association, we have joined in their campaigns for a fairer deal for fuel duty. We will continue to take part in lawful lobbying of Members of Parliament and government departments to highlight the cost of fuel.
